Main Story
In 1995, a significant armed robbery shook Guangdong, China. Five armed bandits targeted a bank’s cash transport vehicle, resulting in a loss of 15 million yuan and the tragic deaths of three security guards. The nation was in shock, prompting the immediate formation of a special task force by the public security bureau. Leading this unit were criminal police officers Wang Shouyue (Lin Jiadong) and He Lan (Zhang Songwen), tasked with swiftly gathering evidence and tracking down the five bandits one by one. Astonishingly, these culprits revealed that the true masterminds behind the operation were construction company boss Chen Xinyuan (Dapeng) and his cousin Chen Xinyuan (Sun Yang). However, the Chen cousins managed to evade capture and disappeared into the shadows.
Twenty-one years later, the case has faded from public memory, and Wang Shouyue has retired. Yet, a vague figure in an ordinary video reignites his determination to solve the case. Wang Shouyue embarks on a solo journey to a border city in search of the elusive figure in the video. This sets the stage for a final confrontation between good and evil, 21 years in the making.
